Dear Brother Au,
I was not able to catch u on last few occasion as I was tied up with work. I am indeed very taken back for ur sudden depature. You will always be the Sunshine and Sunlight in our little riding group. U were indeed kind and helpful, we know that in ur mist of busy working schedule u will always try to drop by for a kopi or two.

I will remember the good time we had, in the hot and stuffy table tennis courts, we swung our bats to the balls like no body business, we exhange ideas on tactics and improve on each other skills.

It's truly hard to find such players these day .... in the back of mind, I always wanted to have a few more whacking sessions on sunday ..... It was truly kind of u and ur family to let me have a cool shower at ur place. These are kind friends like u ..... And i know there are other instances where u help fellow riders too ....

Au, u shall always be remember as a good friend that never fail to help, always giving other riders a hand.
Rest well .....

Your Table Tennis cum riding kakis

Hi, Au,
Remember when we first met for the Desaru ride and we were both riding our CB1000? U were generous in your tips on that classic bike of ours and I knew then we would be friends and someone I would be looking out for at our meet ups.....and then we would talk about the rides we would be doing and everything under the sun. U might not be here with us anymore in person, but in my mind you u will always remain....the cheerful, generous and wonderful guy we have all come to call a good friend. We wil miss you.
Good bye and rest in peace, my friend.

Yes, Au my good friend who always loved to be on the Hornet 900....FY 5043 R
May Allah be your guiding light to nivarna.

Au, having trained many candidates on how to use the roads properly, I am extremely disappointed pertaining to have such an honorable man in this world to have met and ended on a fatal accident on the 6 August 2007 created by his disciples carelessness and ignorance.

Having shared with him on how he should be handling the machine, I can't believe that he has not been able to release the power in the beast and he has to be on his way to be with the lord.

His radian smiles and laughter still remains deep in my mind from that night which we had spent over at the Frangipani Restaurant. The delighted joy and laughter which he has shared with me was the deepest impression that he can ever express in his last part of his life. The confidence that he had expressed to me about having a bike from me, as his riding buddy had given him his greatest pleasure. Having spent the most time with him on the last night, that we ever meet was the last which i could ever remember. The scene of him walking towards his Green Kia Rio was the last sight of his radiant existence.

Au , on the 31 of July 2007 you have requested for the spare key which i was keeping it as a souvenir. As much as I would like to pass it to you, I guess at this point of time, the spare key which you have asked for shall remain in my life reminding me on how I have lost a good friend who loved the machine which I too enjoyed as much.

After the incident, i did a very deep reflection that live is so venerable. With our vast experience and near death experience of some of us who are more fortunate then Au to remind ourselves and our fellow riders when they are on the roads, all should show compassion and great care for those who are using the roads.

The opportunity to live another day depends on the rational thinking of how time is being managed and also, the trivial cost to be expensed to reduce the risk factors.

I advocate one to be early so that we ride safely from one point to another. When we are tired, consider taking the cab. In fact, it cost peanuts to take a cab when you are tired, for the opportunity to live another day to enjoy your moments with our beloved family members is priceless.

Sincerely, I am extremely sorry for what has happened. I wish that from this typical example of having lost two good man in my life to constantly remind everyone of us who are on the roads to be responsible for every life that we encounter while given the power to drive or ride.

Au, as you join my friend Han Wen, Stanley who has passed away in year 2006 due to a bike accident in Tuas, to enjoy eternal riding in the heavens together.....

Enjoy! my wonderful friends.........

A few of us visited Au's family in Ipoh last Saturday.

We are very thankful for the great hospitality from the family. Not only were we treated to a delicious lunch prepared by his sister, they even extended an invitation for us to stay the night.
Although we did not take up that offer, Kum Yuen(Au's 2nd brother) still offered to put up any of us at his place in KL anytime in future.

Back in Ipoh, Kum Yuen also brought us to a specialty shop selling local produce, and treated us to their local iced-coffee.
Truly appreciate what they did for us, kindness runs in the family.

Though saddened by the demise of our friend, I'm glad to have made a new friend.

*The following is an email message is from Kim Yuen

Dear Brendan & friends,

It's been one week since my brother left us. We have
accepted the fact that Chinese New Year and Hari Raya
will never be the same again .

I'm sorry I didn't get to know each and every one of
you. I was too sad. And I regret so much that I didn't
take the effort to understand my brother's life in
Singapore while he was still around. Now that I know
how popular he was among friends. Now that I know he
has friends that really care for him. My sincere
gratitude to all of you, for filling me in Choong
Yuen's past.

My brother's friends are mine. Please do keep the
friendship alive.

Sincerely,
Au Kum Yuen

Dear all,

I ve received an email from our late bro, Au's wife. She wrote in to thank all of us. Here is the details.

Dear Alan & friends, Ah Leong & friends, Joe & friends, Mr Lee & friends and CDC colleagues & friends

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You have overwhelmed me with your love and care at the loss of Au Choong Yuen @ Muhd Ridhuan Au Bin Abdullah.
He and I, were made to travel life's journey together hand in hand, but only for a period that ended 12 years of our matrimonial union. On 6th August 2007, he made his final journey home.
M Ridhuan Au had always held on to his values zealously. He strove to share joy and life’s pleasure with others.
He and I have always shared our thoughts together. He was a caring, loving & devoted husband and towards the end, an indulgent father to his two little precious princesses, the apple of his eyes.
He cares deeply for his parent & parents-in-law and his extended family. He loved his friends as they loved him.
On 7th August 2007, we laid him in his final resting place (CCK Muslim Cemetery, Block N-1-1, Plot No 501).
Alan & friends, it is only now that I have the courage to read the moto-v.sg forum (http://www.moto-v.sg/forums/index.php?showtopic=562).
I was deeply moved by the kind words posted by some of his friends and to know they held him in such great esteem.
It was not easy to accept the demise of someone you love very much, but life has to go on for my two little princesses and me. He will always be in our memory.
My families and friends, you have all shared my bereavement. For that, I thank you very much.
We will all pray for restful peace of his soul.
